One of the biggers dangers is dealing with that straight right hand or the straight left hand of the southpaw. This is a very good way to deal with that. You can knock it or parry it down with your lead hand leaving them open for your rear. Of course like with anything else, this can be countered so make sure your opponent is caught off guard.
